When Williams Hall was built in 1896, it was modeled after England's Oxford Museum and was the first fire-proofed college building in the U.S. Today, Williams Hall is home to Anthropology and Art Departments and the Francis Colburn Art Gallery. Standing between Billings and Old Mill, Williams Hall is located in the heart of campus overlooking the green.
